Blake Bortles has been dealing with a right wrist injury that has been an issue since shortly after the 2016 season. The Jacksonville Jaguars didn’t choose surgery for Bortles last offseason (for whatever reason) but now, on the eve of his $19 million option, think it’s needed now.
Jaguars’ QB Blake Bortles underwent right wrist surgery Friday for a condition that kept him on the injury report all season, sources told ESPN.
Bortles dealt with the issue since December 2016. The Jaguars elected to avoid surgery last offseason, but knew it was needed now.
