The Jacksonville Jaguars shocked the world when they selected quarterback Blake Bortles out of UCF with the 3rd overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. Although the team was in desperate need of a quarterback, almost no one saw the Jaguars going in that direction with their first round pick.
After a stellar preseason that had fans clamoring for the rookie to start right away, Bortles sat on the bench for the first 10 quarters of the regular season. At that point, head coach Gus Bradley could no longer justify playing veteran Chad Henne anymore, and Bortles took the reigns for good.
