Austin Seferian-Jenkins dealing with abdominal injury

Jacksonville Jaguars starting tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins was a “DNP” on the official injury report on Wednesday, dealing with an abdominal injury. Seferian-Jenkins had been dealing with an injury, but according to Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone, aggravated it going up and coming down hard for a football.

“He has had a nagging thing going on and he has been practicing,” Marrone told reporters on Wednesday. “The other day, he went for a ball and wound up falling down and it is sore. We are going to be smart about it.”

Seferian-Jenkins status for Week 1’s matchup with the New York Giants on Sunday is still up in the air, with Marrone indicating that it’s possible he could still play.
