After a breakout 2015 season, Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Robinson’s numbers regressed in 2016.
Much of this can be attributed to how he was used throughout the season. In 2016, Robinson was targeted more frequently in the short passing game, as he caught 21 passes for 221 yards on hitch routes, and another 17 for 155 yards on out routes. In 2015, those numbers were 11 catches for 158 yards on hitches, and 7 for 105 yards on outs.
Robinson recorded an astounding 24 catches for 704 yards off of go routes in 2015. Despite a similar number of targets (45 in 2015, 42 in 2016), that figure drastically declined.
