With the return of the fullback position to the Jacksonville Jaguars roster, the Jags needed a player who could step in and pave the way. Marquez Williams did that for Miami as a blocking fullback and also has the instincts to get a few carries as well.
The fullback position is not a “sexy” position and it makes sense to wait until the seventh round here. Williams, no matter how good he is, plays an undervalued position.
That said, the Jags needed a player at the position. Williams is a big-bodied player at 260 pounds who will create holes for Leonard Fournette and whoever else is in the backfield.
