The Jacksonville Jaguars had a clear goal heading into the 2016 NFL Draft – fix the defense.
They appear to have done that in a monumental way.
After having the good fortune of somehow miraculously ending up with both Jalen Ramsey and Myles Jack in the first two rounds, the Jaguars switched over to the defensive line. On the heels of selecting uber-productive edge rusher Yannick Ngakoue in the third round, the Jaguars got a steal in the fourth round in Notre Dame defensive tackle Sheldon Day.
The Jaguars didn’t really need interior defensive line help, at least not in terms of starters, but the value of Day was just too good to pass up in the fourth round.
