Iowa State announced a third member of its 2016 women’s basketball recruiting class on Wednesday. Riverdale Baptist (Md.) guard Mia Washington has signed a letter of intent with the Cyclones.
The 5-foot-6 Washington spent the last three years at Colonial Forge High School (Va.). She averaged 18.0 points and was named conference player of the year last season. She averaged 13.0 points as a sophomore.
“We are very excited to add Nia to our 2016 class,” said coach Bill Fennelly in a statement. “Nia is a dynamic athlete who gives us much needed depth at point guard.
