The Iowa State women’s basketball team picked up a verbal commitment from Indianola freshman Maggie McGrew on Monday evening, a source told the Ames Tribune.
McGraw is a 5-foot-11 shooting/point guard, who also plays for the All Iowa Attack AAU team. She was in attendance at ISU’s home game against Oklahoma State on Jan. 2, a 49-42 Cyclone victory.
McGraw averaged 13.7 points per game this past winter at Indianola. She shot 52.0 percent from the floor and 46.5 percent from deep. McGraw also totaled 81 assists and 46 steals, helping lead Indianola to a 22-2 overall record and a berth in the Class 5A state tournament.
