Iowa State University filed its response to the racial discrimination lawsuit filed by former women’s basketball player Nikki Moody in Story County court on Friday.
In the response, ISU denies the accusations brought forth by Moody.
Moody is suing women’s basketball coach Bill Fennelly, the university and the state for “mental and emotional distress, fear, anguish, humiliation, intimidation, embarrassment, physical pain and suffering, lost enjoyment of life, lost wages and employment benefits.”
The lawsuit was filed on April 15. Moody played for ISU from 2011-15 and set the program record for assists.
