The Iowa State women’s basketball team announced the addition of Vanderbilt transfer Heather Bowe.
The 6-foot forward has one year of eligibility remaining, and she’ll sit out the 2015-16 due to transfer rules. Bowe started 21 games for the Commodores last season, scoring 7.0 points per game on 52 percent shooting and adding 3.6 rebounds, though she’ll be the only player on the Cyclones roster who hasn’t made a 3-pointer in her college career.
“I am thankful for the opportunity to play at Iowa State and pursue my master’s degree,” Bowe said in a statement. “I am honored to get the chance to play for head coach Bill Fennelly and his great support staff of (assistant coaches) Jodi (Steyer), Billy (Fennelly) and Latoja (Schaben).
