The memories from her time in an Iowa State uniform are not happy ones, and until recently, Cheyenne Shepherd thought she finally put that part of her life to rest. But she came to revisit them in the hopes of doing what she believes is right.
Shepherd, who played at ISU from 1995-97 as Cheyenne Palmer said she underwent similar experiences to that of Nikki Moody, the former ISU point guard who recently filed a lawsuit against coach Bill Fennelly, ISU and the state for racial discrimination.
“I can’t speak to the veracity of her particular claims,” Shepherd said.
