Bill Fennelly was disappointed when he looked at the All-Big 12 selections in early March. His team had one player selected unanimously to the first team, Nikki Moody, but no other Cyclones appeared until the honorable mention line.
That’s where he found the conference’s leading rebounder, 5-foot-10 sophomore Seanna Johnson, meaning she wasn’t rated as one of the top 15 players in the league.
“I was very disappointed she wasn’t on the all-conference team, like first- or second-team,” Fennelly said. “I thought she’d be a second-team all-conference (member). She almost averaged a double-double in the best league in the country.
