A few days after the Iowa State women’s basketball season wrapped up, Nikki Moody decided to leave campus and head to her home to Texas.
The senior, who was named All-American honorable mention, didn’t feel welcome at the practice facility anymore. The program’s all-time assist leader said she no longer even had a locker like previous WNBA draft prospects did for a month or two after the season, so the player who butted heads with coach Bill Fennelly for four years packed her belongings and headed south.
“It didn’t feel like I’d been there four years anymore,” the Dallas native said.
