Will enclosing JTS change wind patterns, making kicking easier?

Bring up the wind and Jack Trice Stadium and Iowa State kicker Cole Netten immediately goes back to a conversation with coach Paul Rhoads.

Netten couldn’t read where it was coming from. Blowing in. Blowing out. Swirling. He had no clue. It seemed to be doing everything at once. He gave up trying to figure it out.

“I told coach to lick his finger and to tell me to go in with the wind,” Netten said.

Jack Trice Stadium is not an easy spot for kickers or punters to ply their craft. Wind can run through the stadium doing things rarely seen elsewhere in college football.
