Getting its bye date in the first week of Big 12 play allowed the Iowa State volleyball team to sit back, get some work in and take a bit of both a mental and physical break.
The second week offers no such luxuries.
The Cyclones will face back-to-back road contests, first with Oklahoma on Wednesday and then with No. 3 Texas on Saturday.
“It’s a very demanding week,” ISU coach Christy Johnson-Lynch said Monday at her weekly press conference. “Two away games, two very tough teams and Oklahoma is always very difficult to play at their place and Texas is the usual.
