It was just last week when former Iowa State Cyclones head coach Fred Hoiberg was introduced as the new head coach of the Chicago Bulls. On Monday, it was reported the defending Big 12 champions have found their coach of the future.
According to College Basketball Talk, Murray State head coach Steve Prohm has agreed with the Cyclones to take the same position.
This seems like it could be the best decision for Iowa State because hiring a mid-major coach of Prohm’s caliber will not only bring a great coach in to lead the team, but it will save the Cyclones money as well.
