Rest easy Cyclone fans. Iowa State will assuredly have a 2016 football recruiting class. The lone school in the Big 12 to not secure a gridiron recruit for the '16 class to date, ISU is finally on the board.
Local prep, Carson Lensing of South Winneshiek was the first to pledge to the Cyclones, announcing via Twitter.
Childhood dream achieved! Honored to say I have committed to play football at Iowa State University! #cyclONEnation pic.twitter.com/rlFuJmJBI8

Lensing plays on both sides of the ball currently, but projects to the defensive side in the college ranks and at 6'4" 225-pounds, he has the frame to play on the defensive line.
