Player to Watch: Spring Game

Leading into the highly anticipated clash between the Allenville Penitentiary guards and inmates, dubbed the “Mean Machine,” most casual viewers will likely be paying attention to former Pittsburgh Steelers and Florida State quarterback Paul “Wrecking” Crewe. However, I’ll also be keeping my eye on the Mean Machine utility player Brucie.

To date, Paul Crewe and coach Nate Scarborough are the only two players we’ve ever seen play in a football game before, but word out of training camp is that Brucie may see time at both the kicker and quarterback spots, a feat which hasn’t been seen since the days of George Blanda in the 50s, 60s, and 70s.
