Morris on Weiler-Babb
WEST DES MOINES — So much of the discussion surrounding the 2016-17 Iowa State men’s basketball team centers on the team’s bevy of talented guards. And rightly so with Monte Morris, Matt Thomas and Naz Mitrou-Long all likely all-league players, with Morris a potential first-team All-American. Newcomers Donovan Jackson and Jakolby Long have also generated buzz for themselves as well.
There is, however, another member of the backcourt that often goes unmentioned.
“I feel like I’m a little bit forgotten,” sophomore Nick Weiler-Babb told the Ames Tribune earlier this month.
The reasons Weiler-Babb often gets lost in the shuffle are mostly understandable.
