Iowa State has received a commitment from Tennessee transfer Ray Kasongo, a source tells the Ames Tribune.
Kasongo, a 6-foot-8 forward, will sit out the upcoming season under NCAA transfer rules before having two remaining years of eligibility.
The Toronto native began his career at the junior college level before arriving at Tennessee this past year, where he was suspended for the first game of the season for an amateurism issue. He went on to play in 21 games in which he averaged 5.5 minutes. His top performance came in March when he scored six points and had four rebounds against Ole Miss.
