Men’s Basketball: Sheriff office suspected drug use in Noskowiak OWI

Iowa State freshman point guard Nick Noskowiak was charged with OWI in Wisconsin in May when a deputy conducted a field sobriety test due to suspicion drugs were impairing his driving, according to the Waukesha County Sheriff’s department.

Noskowiak was pulled over on May 15, in Oconomowoc, Wis., for unsafe lane deviation after he nearly hit a median. He was subjected to four field sobriety tests, and would not submit to a blood test, according to the sheriff’s office. The request for a blood test was submitted because drugs, not alcohol, were suspected to be involved. Noskowiak was booked into jail and placed on a 12-hour hold.
