In a setting designed from him to talk about himself, new Iowa State coach Steve Prohm couldn’t stop talking about his players.
“This game isn’t about me,” Prohm said at his introductory press conference Tuesday. “It isn’t about the head coaches. It’s about those (players) right there. From the bottom of my heart, I wouldn’t be here today if I didn’t coach some unbelievable players, some kids with great character, some kids with great toughness, some kids with great ability, and that’s what I talked to those guys about (Monday) night.
“That’s what I want in this program at Iowa State.
