Men’s Basketball: Prohm lays out recruiting philosophy

Steve Prohm spent much of his first 24 hours as Iowa State’s men’s basketball coach stressing that his up-tempo, ball-movement style won’t stray far from what the Cyclones employed under former coach Fred Hoiberg.

Prohm’s rosters may not look radically different, either.

“Great high school kids,” Prohm said Tuesday, “junior college kids to put in position to be successful when they come here and then sit out one or two kids a year that can come in and make an impact the following year.
