Monte Morris has put in his fair share of superb performances in his two-plus seasons at Iowa State.
His first half in the 11th-ranked Cyclones’ 104-84 win over Coppin State on Wednesday was one of them.
The junior point guard had 10 assists, six points, two steals and no turnovers in 18 first-half minutes.
“I knew if I came out aggressive,” Morris said, “plays open up for my teammates and with the type of defense they play … when I got a chance to get into a crease, I knew I would attract two or three guys and my teammates made me look good tonight.
