Georges Niang and Monte Morris both landed on a preseason award watch list Monday, it was announced by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
Niang, a senior preseason All-American, is listed for the Karl Malone Ward, which is presented to the nation’s best power forward. He averaged 15.2 points per game last season while being named a finalist for the same award.
Morris, a junior, is listed for the Bob Cousy Award, given to the nation’s best point guard. The Flint, Mich. native was a finalist for the honor last season after he averaged 11.9 points and 5.
