WEST DES MOINES — Naz Mitrou-Long shut down what, up until that point, was supposed to be his final season of college basketball last December.
It’s been a long road back since he underwent double-hip surgery in the summer of 2015, but the Iowa State fifth-year senior had his best test last week when he competed with the Canadian national team.
“It was awesome to go against (NBA players) Cory Joseph and Tyler Ennis everyday,” Mitrou-Long said Wednesday at the Capital City League.
