Naz Mitrou-Long’s return is now official.

The Iowa State guard was granted his hardship waiver by the Big 12 Conference on Friday. Mitrou-Long will be eligible to play this upcoming season.

Mitrou-Long underwent surgery on both hips in the spring of 2015. He played eight games last season, but decided to stop playing after eight games in December because of continued pain and soreness in his hips.
