Iowa Western point guard Donovan Jackson has committed to Iowa State, he announced Sunday evening.
Donovan, who will be entering his sophomore year in Council Bluffs, averaged 13.6 points per game while shooting 46.0 percent from the floor and 40.2 percent from 3-point range last season. He also grabbed 2.1 rebounds and dished out 2.3 assists per game.
The commitment gives ISU insurance at point guard should Monte Morris, a potential All-American, decide to leave the Cyclones following his upcoming junior season. Backup freshman point guard Nick Noskowiak recently left the team amid multiple legal issues.
