Men’s Basketball: ISU picks up commitment from standout JUCO player

The Iowa State men’s basketball team has picked up a commitment from a standout junior college power forward.

Emmanuel Malou, a highly-touted 6-foot-9 wing player, announced his commitment to ISU via his Twitter account on Friday.

“Basketball has taken me to many different states in America,” he wrote, “I’m happy to say that my next home will be Iowa State.”

Malou, a native of Australia, chose the Cyclones over Kansas, Arizona and Oklahoma State, among other schools.

Malou attended ABCD Prep in Des Moines before going to Yuba College (Calif.), where he averaged 14.7 points and 8.
