Men’s Basketball: Former Cyclone Vroman dies at age 34

Jackson Vroman, who played two seasons at Iowa State in the early 2000s, has died, his agent confirmed in an email to the Ames Tribune.

The 34-year-old Vroman was reportedly involved in a car accident.

Vroman came to ISU in 2002 from Snow Community College, where he was an All-American. He started in 62 of 63 career games over two seasons with the Cyclones, averaging 13.2 points, 9.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. ISU went 37-27 in his two years there and made two NIT appearances, reaching the semifinals his senior season in which was named a second-team all-conference player.
