The Iowa State men’s basketball team is headed to Denver for the first round of the Big Dance.
The Cyclones (21-11) were selected as a four seed in the Midwest Region of the 2016 NCAA tournament, and will play No. 13 seed Iona (22-10) on March 17 at the Pepsi Coliseum in Denver.
The Gaels enter the NCAA tournament for the third time in six seasons under head coach Tim Cluess. They defeated Monmouth for the MAAC Championship on March 7.
The winner of that game will get the winner of the No. 5 Purdue-No. 12 Little Rock on March 19.
