Men’s Basketball: Cyclones nab first 2017 commit

Iowa State men’s basketball has its first member of its class of 2017.

Terrence Lewis, a wing from Wisconsin, committed to the Cyclones on Tuesday in an announcement at his high school.

The 6-foot-6 Milwaukee Riverside product is a consensus top-100 recruit and picked the Cyclones over the likes of Marquette, Illinois and UNLV.

He becomes the first of what will be a very large recruiting class for ISU coach Steve Prohm. The Cyclones have six total scholarships available for 2017 and that number could rise should current players transfer and if incoming freshman Cameron Lard does not ultimately get to campus.
