The search for the next Iowa State men’s basketball coach is starting to take shape.
ISU hopes to have Fred Hoiberg’s replacement in place sometime by the middle of next week, multiple sources told the Ames Tribune.
Cyclones athletic director Jamie Pollard met with players Tuesday afternoon to address the situation with them less than 24 hours after Hoiberg officially accepted the head coaching position with the Chicago Bulls.
“It was a great meeting,” ISU senior Naz Long said. “There were some great conversations going on with that, just things about moving forward and that’s really about it.
