A roster that needed a shot in the arm, got one. Saturday afternoon the Memphis transfer Tyler Harris committed to Iowa State.
“I picked Iowa State because of the coaching staff and their style of play,” Harris told Rivals.com. “They recruited me very well whenever I was in high school and the relationship never went away when I decided to go elsewhere. Coach Smalls did a tremendous job recruiting me and he made me feel like family.” Harris told Rivals this afternoon.
This past season, Harris averaged 8.7 points and just under two 2 rebounds. Harris was also a target for Iowa State right out of high school and he now finds his way to Ames.
