It’s not often that we’ve had to worry about an Iowa State football player forgoing his senior season. There were rumors that Allen Lazard may do just that after a solid junior year, but the rumors weren’t that thick. Today those rumors were officially put to rest as Lazard announced that he would return for his senior season and not make the leap to the NFL for another year.
Lazard will help bolster an already deep rotation at wide receiver and will help Iowa State’s chances to reach a bowl game in 2017. This season Lazard caught 69 passes for 1,018 yards and 7 touchdowns.
