ISU QB Sam Richardson

DALLAS – Sam Richardson doesn’t need anyone to remind him his Big 12 record as Iowa State’s starting quarterback. He’s not only aware it’s 0-15, but admits it can keep him up at night.
It was a revealing statement at Big 12 media days from the normally reserved Richardson. His willingness to open up is further proof of his change around the Bergstrom Football Complex. His growth as a player and leader could be exactly what he needs to shake the winless starter tag.
“Being a quarterback that hasn’t won a lot of games, it’s the main stat, their winning record,” Richardson said.
