JR Blount Hired as Assistant to Iowa State Staff

Former Colorado State assistant coach, JR Blount, will join Otz’s staff.

Blount most recently helped in the rebuild project at Colorado State, serving under head coach Niko Medved for the previous 7 seasons, starting at Drake before CSU. Blount hails from Milwaukee, where TJ Otzelberger is originally from. The two have had an ongoing relationship since Blount was 16 years old when Otz was recruiting a friend of JR’s.
