Cyclones split with Red Raiders
A grand slam from Brittany Gomez helped propel Iowa State to a 5-2 win over Texas Tech in the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday. The Red Raiders won the second game 2-1 in eight innings.
In the first contest, the Cyclones (26-24, 3-11 Big 12) scored all five runs in the third inning. Lexi Slater also had an RBI in the inning.
Stacy Roggentien picked up the win, going five innings and giving up two runs, one earned, while allowing six hits and four walks. She struck out six.
