Iowa State continues it stellar play and now will go into next weekend for a chance to own the lead in the Big 12 Conference. Raise your hand if you thought that was going to be in a game recap in late October. I certainly won’t be the one to raise my hand.
The game did not start off all that stellar. Kyle Kempt was intercepted and it was returned deep into Texas Tech territory. Tech would later score after three straight runs. Iowa State would never look back. Kempt led the Iowa State offense right down the field and capped off a long drive with a touchdown strike to Allen Lazard to give Iowa State a 7-6 lead.
