For the third time in four years, your Iowa State Cyclones are Big 12 Tournament champions.
ISU knocked off West Virginia by a score of 80-74 today at the Sprint Center in Kansas City. The victory avenged two losses to the Mountaineers during the regular season and helped the Cyclones finish with a 23-10 record heading into the NCAA Tournament.
Monte Morris led Iowa State with 17 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals. His wingman, Deonte Burton, also played a good game with 16 points, five rebounds, three steals, two assists and one block. Burton also provided the biggest highlight of the day on a monster alley-oops slam with just a couple minutes left in the game.
