Iowa State transfer Clayton Custer will visit Loyola in two weekends, Eric Bossi of Rivals.com reported Monday. Custer, a 6-foot-1 guard with three years of eligibility, played just 5.8 minutes per game for the Cyclones as a freshman, averaging 1.1 points and 0.7 assists.
Custer was a borderline top-100 recruit coming out of high school, where he was teammates with current Loyola guard Ben Richardson at Blue Valley Northwest in Overland Park, Kansas. The transfer acknowledged to The Kansas City Star when leaving Iowa State that he believes he could have eventually been successful with the Cyclones but wants “to show what I can do” now.
