BOOMER!!! No, not Sooner. Boomer Saia, head coach of the women’s tennis team, has been nothing short of spectacular in his short three year tenure as the general of the Cyclones. Coach Saia has taken this team from one of the losingest programs in the Big 12 to an NCAA Championships appearance. On top of the success this season, the Cyclones are one of the youngest teams in the conference, with just one senior on the roster and everyone else being freshmen. That youthful roster has Iowa State in a position to continue their early success and continue to improve in the future.
