Iowa State stadium expansion nearly complete

A football team in the Big 12 is getting a facility upgrade, and it is not who you may expect.

Brad Pautsch, of KTIV in Iowa, is reporting that the Iowa State Cyclones are in the process of a stadium expansion and will soon be the third largest stadium in the Big 12 behind Texas and Oklahoma. The same Cyclones football team that hasn’t had a winning season since 2009.

Specifically Iowa State is closing the South End Zone of the stadium and also adding 6,000 seats. Construction is about 80 percent complete and will be finished by the first home game of the season.
