For many college sports teams across the country, summer time is a valuable asset to have. Players are able to develop new skills, coaches can teach the mechanics needed to win, and teams become families. According to Iowa State, their basketball program is adding true value to the true meaning of college sports during the summer.
According to College Basketball Talk, the NCAA allows foreign trips for Division I programs once every four years, and the Cyclones are taking advantage of this by including valuable practice time and four games in Spain. Adding to the mix is new head coach Steve Prohm, who has ambitions of winning the Big 12 conference title.
