In recent years, the Iowa State Cyclones have focused on talented transfers from four year schools to fill its roster holes and make a positive impact. Sunday’s verbal commitment of 6′-2″ point guard Nick Noskowiak of Sun Prairie (WI) departed from head coach Fred Hoiberg’s usual plan, though, as Noskowiak is a top 100 recruit nationally from the high school level.
Noskowiak announced his pledge to Iowa State, via his Twitter account.
Noskowiak signed with Marquette during the early signing period, but off-the-court problems during his senior season were part of his reconsideration. Eventually, Noskowiak narrowed his list to the USC Trojans and Iowa State, before popping for the Cyclones.
