In a completely expected manner, Iowa State fell out of the AP Top 10 to 11th in the latest poll. With numerous high-ranked upsets, there was a lot of shuffling above the top 3 teams, which remained the same (MSU, Kansas and Oklahoma).
Compared to North Carolina's nine spot fall after their loss to UNI, the Cyclones managed to avoid both a complete ranking free fall and the unlucky AP No. 9 spot that has plagued Iowa State in past years. While the Coaches Poll may have the 'Clones saddled at 9, I wager that no one really cares about the Coaches Poll anyways and that you, nameless WRNL reader, shouldn't care either (unless Iowa State's ranked second, as they were a week ago).
