The moment Iowa State basketball fans were dreading for a while finally arrived Tuesday, as head coach Fred Hoiberg, “The Mayor,” officially left Ames to be the next head coach of the Chicago Bulls.
Hoiberg has signed a five-year deal worth about $25 million and takes the reins from Tom Thibodeau, who led the Bulls to prosperous regular season finishes but fell out of favor with upper management when the team failed to last long in postseason play.

The Bulls are certainly looking for a coach who will get along with executive management, and they found a great guy in Hoiberg in that regard.
