Teammates were looking away from Mike Warren last spring. He was just a redshirt freshman running back still waiting for his first career carry. He wasn’t worth paying attention to.
Now, his teammates can’t stop staring at him after he put together one of the best debut seasons in program history.
With that attention comes higher expectations, including leadership. Not just because he’s become a star, but because that’s what his teammates want from from him.
“Last year, I was kind of getting used to things,” Warren said. “Now, everyone is looking at me to lead the team.
