Football: Why ISU is going through the adversity games to learn how to deal with tough times

All preseason Mangino put the Iowa State offense in tough situations wanting to see how the team that struggled when facing hard times a year ago would respond. Because making the Cyclones work through it is the only way he knows for them to avoid a repeat.

“This year’s offense I told them they are going to have adversity,” the ISU offensive coordinator said.
