Matt Campbell is talking about athleticism. One of the first spots his mind goes to is punters.
Yes, punters. Specifically Iowa State’s Colin Downing.
“He is one of the best athletes we have on our football team,” the Cyclone football coach said. “It’s ironic that most specialists that are really talented are elite athletes. Colin is one of those guys that I think has a really great future.”
The Cyclones enter 2016 with special teams as a strength and it’s because of athletes like Downing.
